After graduating from the Ole Miss Law School in May 1976, Bob spent one year (1976-1977) as a law clerk to the Chief Judge for the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Upon completion of his clerkship, he immediately entered the practice of law focusing his practice in Litigation. For 42 years he has been actively engaged in a general trial practice in all Mississippi courts, state and federal. He is a former President of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers and an active member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Transportation Lawyers Association (T.L.A.), a Mid South Super Lawyer in the areas of  Personal Injury Defense and Civil Litigation and selected to Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation - Defendants. His trial experience has focused on representation of Corporate, Commercial Business and Insurance clients. Specialized areas of his practice include transportation law, the defense of common carrier and independent trucking companies in the defense of catastrophic personal injury claims, premises liability, products liability, business torts and insurance coverage litigation. Bob is a certified mediator for the Mississippi State Bar and a certified panel commercial arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and NAMS.
